Stuck on Lodi again.

Cline Lodi Zinfandel 2013 photographed by Jerry Hall on Winewaves & More.
  • Lodi is the "Zinfandel capital of the world" and where Robert Mondavi grew up. Fortunately there are lots of old vines in production. The red wines tend to be big and hedonistic, ready to drink, and usually great values. So yes it's easy to get stuck on Lodi.
  • Cline Lodi Zinfandel 2013 opens with aromas of cherry, fire roasted vegetables, and vanilla cola spices. On the tongue it's tart, peppery, charred and nicely fruity, with fine dusty tannins. 14.1% ABV Real cork. Local price/750 ml: 13.
  • It paired very well with a turkey meatball and marinara bagel pizza.
  • The 2014 vintage has been released but 2013 remains in stock locally.
