Hey Mambo, guess what's in it.

Hey Mambo California Sultry Red 2013 photographed by Jerry Hall on Winewaves & More.
  • The recipe for this red blend is as unique as the sultry flavor experience. Don't read the next line if you want to guess the blend.
  • It's 44% Tempranillo, 28% Syrah, 14% Merlot, 7% Zinfandel, 6% Petite Syrah, and 1% Barbera, grown in Clarksburg (50%), Paso Robles (48%) and Lodi.
  • Hey Mambo California Sultry Red 2013 displays blueberry, cherry, vanilla, pie spice and a whiff of molasses. Delicious! The palate is smoothly jammy and the finish is tart and structured enough to make you want a bite something. Zork closure. Local price/750 ml: 12.
  • I tasted it and guessed Syrah was the dominate varietal. Thankfully it was at least number two when I looked at the technical sheet. I didn't pick out the Tempranillo but it makes total sense in retrospect.
