Saucy House Red, 88 points Parker.

Marietta Old Vine Red Lot 63 reviewed on Winewaves & More.
  • Marietta Old Vine Red Lot 63 is a blend of primarily Zinfandel with minor parts Syrah and Petite Sirah. Juicy, fruit-forward, spicy and layered; it's like sipping a delicious lively sauce. It has loganberry to cherry fruit, baking spice, vanilla, herbal and earthy aromas. On the tongue it's tart, juicy, perfectly tannic and dry. Savory, spicy, saucy dishes, this is your red table wine. Marietta is still in the hands of the original Bilbro family who haven't sold out. This NV (non-vintage) lot includes wine from 2011, 12, 13 and 14. Robert Parker rated it 88 points, calls it "boisterous". I say saucy. Real cork closure. 13.5% ABV. Local price/750 ml: 13.
